Abstract:

To provide a plug-in electric vehicle charging station.

A plug-in electric vehicle charging station includes: a plug-in electric vehicle interface 111 configured to process payment for charging a plug-in electric vehicle 105, and to process payment for vending items from a vending machine 125; and a communications interface 113 communicatively coupled to the plug-in electric vehicle interface 111, and configured to communicate with the vending machine 125. The plug-in electric vehicle interface 111 receives a request from an owner to charge the plug-in electric vehicle 105, and generates payment options to charge the plug-in electric vehicle 105. A charging station 110 generates, on the plug-in electric vehicle interface 111, options to purchase vending items from the vending machines 125.
