To raise stiffness to a load from an oblique direction to a plywood.
A veneer 1 having a fibrous direction wherein a fibrous line 2 is inclined to a major axis direction (direction Y) is manufactured, and a plywood is manufactured by combining this veneers with another veneer. That is, two sheets of veneers having the fibrous direction inclined to the major axis direction in the same way as the veneer 1 are made core sheets 1A, 1B, and splice core sheets 5A, 5B consisting of conventional plywoods are laminated respectively on their both sides. Further, front sheet 4A consisting of conventional plywood is laminated on the splice core sheet 5A, and a rear sheet 4B consisting of traditional plywood is laminated on an under side of the splice core sheet 5B. In this case, a veneer 7 is manufactured by laminating fibrous directions of adjacent veneers at right angles with each other or crossing mutually. Since the veneer having the fibrous direction inclined to the major axis direction is used for the plywood 7, the plywood 7 has high stiffness to a load from a oblique direction.
