Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a pneumatic tire rim-assembly and a rim protector therefor which enables obtaining a sufficient protection effect for a rim flange without impairing the rim assembling characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: An annular rubber protective material 3 which constitutes a rim protector is trapezoidal in cross section, and is post-mounted after rim assembling, in a zone extending from a contact portion A thereof with a rim flange 1a at the side portion of a pneumatic tire 2 to a maximum tire-width portion B. The rubber protective material 3 projects by a length larger than the rim flange 1a in the type width direction.
