A cord reinforcing layer 22 is formed outside a tire of a carcass 14 installed to a pneumatic tire 10 in such a manner that a first end 28 is positioned in a first region A1 between a vertical line L1 and a vertical line L2 and a second end 30 is positioned in a second region A2 between a vertical line L3 and a vertical line L4. By this configuration, bending rigidity at a tire shoulder S1 can be increased by the cord reinforcing layer 22 because the cord reinforcing layer 22 is formed at the tire shoulder S1. By this arrangement, it is possible to restrict separation between the carcuss 14 and the belt layer 16 at the tire shoulder S1 because it is possible to restrict the generation of strain between the carcuss 14 and a belt layer 16 at the tire shoulder S1.
