To provide a pneumatic tire reducing uneven wear, while maintaining durability of a shoulder land part.
This pneumatic tire includes the shoulder land part extending in a peripheral direction and a slit 3 extending in the peripheral direction at the width direction inside more than a grounding end LE of the shoulder land part to divide the shoulder land part into a body land part 1 at the width direction inside and a sacrifice land part 2 at the width direction outside in a tread surface, and a buttress groove 4 extending in the peripheral direction at the width direction outside more than the grounding end LE of the shoulder land part. In a cross sectional view of a tire meridian direction, the slit 3 is provided to be inclined at a right angle or to the width direction outside from the tread surface toward a groove bottom. When a groove depth of the slit 3 is D, a distance from a ridge line LR of the slit 3 and the body land part 1 to a tire inside surface is T, and a distance from the grounding end LE of the shoulder land part to a straight line parallel with the tread surface after passing through a tire radial direction outside end of the buttress groove 4 is E, D≤E≤T is satisfied.
