Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both of steering stability and road noise performance.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire 10 comprises: a tread rubber part 20 having a tread face 22 in which a groove area ratio of an inner region 28 existing inside a vehicle is smaller than a groove area ratio of an outer region 30; and a belt reinforcing layer 40 formed by winding a cord spirally in a tire circumferential direction, around an outer periphery side of the belt layer 18. The belt reinforcing layer 40 is constituted of a cap ply 42 covering the belt layer 18 over the full width, and edge plies 44A and 44B covering both end parts in a width direction of the belt layer. Rigidity in a circumferential direction per unit width of the edge plies is smaller than that of the cap plies. Further, the inner edge ply 44A positioned at the inner side of the vehicle is arranged at a side of an inner periphery of the cap ply 42, and the outer edge ply 44B positioned at the outer side of the vehicle is arranged at a side of an outer periphery of the cap ply 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
