Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing coordinate generator that can correct an obtained coordinate value more precisely by receiving lights emitted from a plurality of light emission elements on a reference plane.SOLUTION: The pointing coordinate generator includes: a light receiver 152, that receives a light from a pointing device 110 with a plurality of light emission diodes; a calculator 154, that determines a coordinate (x, y), representing the direction of a light to a perpendicular reference plane, based on the intensity of the received light; a corrector 156, that determines a coordinate (x',y'), where the distortion of a light emission unit has been corrected by a relation of x'=F(x,y),y'=G(x,y), based on the coordinate (x,y); and a coordinate controller 158, that moves the pointer on the display based on the corrected pointing coordinate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
