Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conventionally not achieved polarization converter operating in terahertz wave band, in which the dimensions of each section fall within a practical range.SOLUTION: In a polarization converter 1, first wires 10a of length l are arranged at an interval s in the x-direction, and an interval g in the y-direction, on one side of a dielectric substrate 12 of thickness d, and second wires 11a of length l are arranged at an interval s in the x-direction, and an interval g in the y-direction, on the other side of the dielectric substrate 12. The thickness d of the dielectric substrate is about 50 μm, the length l of the first and second wires substantially resonates in a design frequency band, the interval s is about 45-120 μm, and the interval g is about 95-120 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
