PURPOSE: To aim at the simultaneous finishing of both inner and outer surfaces, by installing a rotator of magnetic material in the shaft installed in a pipe central part, and also installing magnetic poles at the outside of the rotator as holding a pipe in between, interposing granular magnetic abrasives in a clearance being produced inside and outside the pipe, and setting these abrasives down to a magnetic brush.
CONSTITUTION: A shaft 2 is set up in the central part of a pipe P rotatably going forward and backward, and a rotator 1 made of magnetic material is attached to this shaft 2 with a clearance in the pipe inner circumference. Magnetic poles 7a and 7b are set up in two spots of positions to be opposed as holding the rotator 1 and the pipe P in between with a clearance in the pipe outer circumference. Granular magnetic abrasives are interposed in these internal and external clearances. In this state, when these magnetic poles 7a and 7b are rotated around the pipe P, the rotator 1 is also rotated in the wake of these magnetic poles, and the abrasives are turned to a magnetic brush so that pipe internal and external surfaces are polished for finishing at the same time. In this connection, the pipe P moves forward or backward whereby the overall length of the long pipe P is polishable.
