PURPOSE: To uniformly polish the whole surface of an article whose shape is complicated and size is small for dental use, jewelry or general parts.

CONSTITUTION: One electromagnet 2 is fixed to the inside surface of a lid 5 for opening/closing a container attaching part 6 made of a non-magnetic material provided in a polishing device 1, the other electromagnet 2' is fixed to the back side of the container attaching part 6, and a container 7 containing an article to be polished 8 and a magnetic small piece 9 is attached in the container attaching part 6 so that a pair of electromagnets 2 and 2' are arranged vertically in a fae-to-face manner in the container 7 by closing the lid, and the upper and the lower electromagnets 2 and 2' are electrified alternately so as to oscillate the magnetic small piece 9 in the container 7 for polishing.
