PURPOSE: To uniformly and surely polish the whole body of a material to be polished by giving, to an abrasive vessel in which the material to be polished and magnetic small pieces are received, magnetic force alternately from its sides and lower part.
CONSTITUTION: A single or plurality of horizontal magnetic poles 4 situated sideward an abrasive vessel 3 and a single or plurality of vertical magnetic poles 5 situated below the abrasive vessel 3 are rotated at the same angle speed with the same rotating shaft as a center. Thus, magnetic force is given to the abrasive vessel 3 alternately from the sides and lower part, and magnetic small pieces 2 are moved to polish the material to be polished. Namely, the magnetic small pieces 2 in the abrasive vessel 3 are vertically and laterally moved between both the magnetic poles 4, 5 while vibrated and rotated in the abrasive vessel 3, whereby the moving magnetic small pieces 2 are brought into contact with and collided to the surface of the material 1 to be polished received also in the abrasive vessel 3.
