Abstract:
To provide a polishing rubber sleeve having superior abrasion resistance without increasing the thickness more than a conventional tread rubber layer in particular or without greatly changing its rigidity.
This polishing rubber sleeve is provided with a rotary shaft 1 and disposed with an outer rubber layer 3 having a recessed groove in the surface, an intermediate rubber layer 4 disposed inside the outer rubber layer 3 and buried with reinforced fiber, and an inner rubber layer 5 disposed inside the intermediate rubber layer 4 around the rotary shaft 1 so as to form a hollow cylindrical body which is airtight. The polishing rubber sleeve is formed by mixing short fibers having specific orientation in the outer rubber layer 3.
