Abstract:
To provide a polyacene compound thin film that manifests high mobility and has reduced defects and provide a method for producing the same.
A solution of pentacene-chloranil adduct or pentacene derivative-chloranil adduct is coated on silicon substrate, then heat-treated to convert the chloranil adduct to pentacene or pentacene derivative. Then, the solvent is distilled off under reduced pressure to form pentacene thin film or pentacene derivative thin film on the silicon substrate.
