Abstract:

To provide a polycarbonate material for an optical disk substrate having an excellent transferring property, moldability, impact resistance, transparency, productivity and a decreased warpage.

A polycarbonate is blended with 200-10,000 ppm of a polycaprolactone having a number average molecular weight of 1,000-50,000. It is preferable that the viscosity average molecular weight of the polycarbonate is 12,000-20,000. The optical disk substrate is preferably formed of a single disk of the polycarbonate having a thickness of 0.6 mm or formed by laminating two of such polycarbonate disks.
