Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. excellent not only in impact resistance but also in stiffness, flame retardance, and mold releasability by mixing a polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer with a TiO2-contg. glass. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. is prepd. by mixing 5-95wt.% polycarbonate- polyorganosiloxane copolymer. 0-90wt.% polycarbonate resin, and 5-10wt.% TiO2-contg. glass in such a wt. ratio that the content of the polyorganosiloxane part of the copolymer is 0.4-40wt.% of the sum of the copolymer and the resin. The obtd. compsn. is excellent not only in impact resistance but also in stiffness, flame retardance, and mold releasability.
