Abstract:
To provide a polyelectrolyte membrane for a fuel cell in which crossover of hydrogen ion conductivity and hydrocarbon fuel is prevented, a membrane-electrode assembly for a fuel cell including the polyelectrolyte membrane and a fuel cell system including the assembly.
The polyelectrolyte membrane includes hydrogen ion conductive cation-exchange resin, a hydrogen ion non-conductive polymer and an inorganic additive. The polyelectrolyte membrane has excellent ion conductivity and a mechanical property though it is thin, and an excellent interception property to hydrocarbon fuel.
