Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester fiber containing a high-molecular weight polytetrafluoroethylene together with a flame retardant therein without dripping in combustion.
CONSTITUTION: This polyester fiber contains (A) a polytetrafluoroethylene having ≥1000000, preferably ≥1500000 number-average molecular weight and (B) a flame retardant. The content of the component (A) is preferably 0.02-2.0wt.% and the component (R) is preferably a bifunctional organophosphorus compound of the formula (R1 is an aryl, a 1-6C alkyl, a cycloalkyl, etc.; R2 is a 1-4C alkyl). The yarn manufacturing properties or mechanical characteristics of a polyester are not deteriorated.
