Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a sheet and a molding made of a polyester resin having a high light diffusion effect and optical transmission properties and not causing whitening due to crystallization even when a light diffusing agent is blended.
SOLUTION: This polyester resin sheet consists of 98-99.9wt.% polyethylene naphthalate resin containing 5-25wt.% naphthalenedicarboxylic acid component in the acid component and 0.1-2wt.% light diffusing agent, and at least one side thereof is subjected to matte finishing so that the whole light transmittance is 20-90% and the diffuse transmittance is 20-70%. The light diffusing agent is selected from calcium carbonate, titanium oxide, aluminium hydroxide, silicate, silicon dioxide, zinc sulfide, silicone rubber, etc.
