To provide a polyisocyanate composition for producing a rigid polyurethane foam having closed cells, having extremely superior storage stability, capable of imparting thermal conductivity and excellent mechanical properties (dimensional stability or the like) to the resultant rigid polyurethane foam having closed cells, and suitable especially when using a hydrocarbon as the foaming agent, and to provide a method for producing the rigid polyurethane foam having closed cells by using the polyisocyanate composition.

The polyisocyanate composition is constituted of a polymeric MDI and an ethylene glycol monoether having 150 molecular weight.
