PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. which has excellent shelf stability and gives a pressure-sensitive adhesive having excellent tack, by blending a powdered or particulate polymer with specified CaCO3.

CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. powdered or particulate polymer (A) selected from the group consisting of a (modified) arom. vinyl/conjugated diene block copolymer, a conjugated diene polymer, a (modified)acrylonitrile/conjugated diene copolymer and a (modified)ethylene/α-olefin copolymer is blended with 0.3W5pts. wt. CaCO3 (B) having a specific surface area of 7W15m2/g as measured by the BET method and the most probable void diameter of 0.1W1.0μm as measured by mercury porosimetry and optionally 30W200pts.wt. tackifier (C) (e.g., a rosin resin), 10W200pts.wt. softener (D) (e.g., naphthenic process oil), 0W10pts.wt. stabilizer (E) (e.g., sterically hindered phenol) and a filler, a pigment, an extender, etc. (F).
