PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition useful as a photo-setting alkali-soluble crosslinking agent, by mixing an organic acid having vinyl group to dimethylaminoethyl (meth)acrylate in a nonpolar solvent or in the absence of solvent.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by mixing (A) dimethylaminoethyl acrylate (DM) or dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate (DMM) with (B) an organic acid having vinyl group (preferably acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or itaconic acid, and when it is acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, the amount of the carboxyl group of the organic acid is 2W4 equivalent per 1 equivalent of the amino group of DM or DMM, and when it is itaconic acid, the amount of the carboxyl group is 1W4 equivalent), in a nonpolar solvent (e.g. benzene) or in the absence of solvent, preferably at ≤30°C. Addition of a (meth)acrylic oligomer to the composition gives a photo-setting composition.
