Abstract:

To develop and provide a formulation extremely suitable for the production of a hole injection layer of an EL device and giving the hole injection layer to suppress the generation of cross talk without necessitating especially small particle size.

The formulation contains (A) at least one kind of polythiophene having repeating unit expressed by general formula (I-a) and/or (I-b) (A, Y, R and x each has a specific definition), (B) at least one kind of polymer having SO3-M+group or COO-M+group and (C) at least one kind of partially fluorinated or perfluorinated polymer having SO3-M+group or COO-M+group.
