To obtain a polyurea elastomeric microporous foam having excellent damping activity, cold-resistance, flexibility and the like, and useful as a damper of vertical motion in assembly particles for a spring of an under carriage of an automobile or the like by reacting a polyisocyanate with a di(aminobenzoate) of oligomeric diol or the like in the presence of a blowing agent or the like.
A polyisocyanate preferably such as carbodiimide-modified diphenylmethane diisocyanate is made to react with a di(aminobenzoate) of an oligomeric diol, a di(aminobenzamide) of an oligomeric diamine or a di(aminobenzoate/amide) of an oligomeric compound having both a hydroxyl group and an amino group [preferably, poly(tetramethylene oxide)-di-p- aminobenzoate] in the presence preferably of a blowing agent consisting of water and optionally a urethane catalyst and a foam stabilizer to obtain the objective foam preferably having a density of 320-1041 kg/m3.
