To obtain a polyurethane elastomer composition a molded article of which is excellent in the surface damage resistance (scratch resistance) as well as in the flexibility, thermal resistance, low-temperature characteristics, weatherability, strengths, hydrolysis resistance and moldability, therefore which is useable for automobiles, household electric appliances, toys, miscellaneous goods, or the like, and besides, which can exclude a coating process and realize a high productivity and a low cost so that the molded article is excellent in the scratch resistance.
This elastomer composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of (a) a polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer and 5-900 pts.wt. of (b) a polypropylene mixture consisting of 10-60 wt.% of (b-1) a polypropylene-based polymer (containing 85 wt.% or more of propylene) and 40-90 wt.% of (b-2) an ethylene/propylene-based copolymer rubber (containing 75 wt.% or more of propylene), with the polypropylene mixture having an average dispersed- particle diameter of the ethylene/propylene copolymer rubber of 2 μm or less, a bending modulus of 20-700 MPa and a Shore D hardness of 20-60.
