Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane foam elastomer low in impact resilience but sufficiently strong when used singly and a method for manufacturing the same.
SOLUTION: The elastomer is manufactured by reaction of a composition I containing a compound A having two or more active hydrogens and an isocyanate prepolymer II in the presence of a foaming agent, and is 0.2-1.0 g/cm3 in density, 20% or less in modulus of repulsion elasticity when 10 mm in thickness, and 1-90 in hardness (Asker C). The manufacturing method is such that the composition I and the prepolymer II react with each other as mentioned above for manufacturing an elastomer having the above-mentioned properties.
