Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a polyurethane, excellent in hot water resistance and dyeable at high temperatures under high pressures by reacting a polyester diol and/or a polyester polycarbonate diol with an organic diisocyanate and its fiber. CONSTITUTION:The polyurethane is obtained by continuously feeding (A) a polyester diol and/or a polyester polycarbonate diol having >=10mol% polyester part composed of a dicarboxylic acid ester unit based on a 2-methyl-octandioic acid expressed by the formula (R<1> is bivalent organic group) and having 500-10000 number-average molecular weight with (B) an organic diisocyanate (preferably 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate or p-phenylene diisocyanate) and (C) preferably a chain extender [preferably 1,4-butandiol and/or 1,4-bis(2- hydroxyethoxy)benzene] to a multiple screw type extruder, etc., and continuously carrying out the melt polymerization at a high temperature. Polyurethane fiber composed of this polyurethane is prepared.
