Abstract:
To provide a porous calcium phosphate-based ceramic having a high porosity which has never been attained by a conventional method, and a method of producing the same.
The porous calcium phosphate-based ceramic having a porosity of ≥80% is produced by preparing a slurry containing a calcium phosphate- based ceramic powder, a water-soluble polymer compound, and a nonionic surfactant, then agitating the slurry with an agitation power of ≥50 W/L so as to foam and allowing the slurry to gel by heating, and sintering the obtained gel after drying.
