PURPOSE: To obtain a material for refining and separating liq. and gas having sufficient mechanical properties and heat resistance by melt-spinning a polyalkylene glycol-polyester block copolymer or the blend of the copolymer with a polyester, heat-treating the obtained hollow undrawn fiber at a specified temp. and drawing the treated fiber.
CONSTITUTION: The polyalkylene glycol (polyethylene glycol)-polyester copolymer or the blend of the copolymer with a polyester contg. 1-25wt.% polyethylene glycol is melt-spun. The obtained hollow undrawn fiber having ≤100μ film thickness is heat-treated for ≥1min at a temp. 2-50°C lower than the m.p. of the composition, and then drawn by 20-400% at a temp. 120°C higher than the primary dispersion loss maximum temp. The porous hollow-fiber membrane thus obtained has sufficient mechanical properties and heat resistance and is appropriately used as the material for refining and separating liq. and gas.
