In a portable charger that supplies electric power to a battery 6 installed on a saddle type electric vehicle 1 through a charging plug 55, a power side connection line 61 is connected with an AC power supply and a vehicle side connection line 57 is connected with the charging plug 55. Charging control sections 83, 84 convert AC power input from the AC power supply into DC power through the power side connection line 61 and perform control to supply the DC power to the charging plug 55 through the vehicle side connection line 57. A mechanically brittler portion against a tensile force than the power side connection line 61 is formed at the vehicle side connection line 57.
