This portable communication terminal is provided with a boundary identification information storing part A23 for storing boundary identification information for identifying an area in the text of a mail. At a transmission side, a decoding part 34 generates attached data, by encoding binary data to be attached to a mail to be transmitted by a decoding part 34, and an attaching part 26 inserts boundary identification information into the text of the mail to be transmitted, and generates a transmission mail, by inserting the attached data following the boundary identification information, and a transmitting part 27 transmits the transmission mail. At a reception side, a recognizing part A31 retrieves the boundary identification information from the mail data received by a receiving part 28, and recognizes the data following the boundary identification information as the attached data where there is a hit, and a decoding part A32 obtains the original binary data by decoding the attached data.
