Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a life buoy requiring no assembling by constructing the life buoy such that a holder dissolves quickly in water to release a trigger mechanism which functions to unseal a cylinder filled with liquified gas and feed the gas to the life buoy. CONSTITUTION:When a drowning person is found, a portable life buoy is taken out from a pocket and thrown into the water with a cap 7 thereof being removed. Consequently, a water soluble holder 6 in a trigger mechanism A dissolves in the water instantaneously and a spring 5 energizes a hammer 4b to hit a needle 4a so as to unseal a cylinder 3. Consequently, liquified gas filled in the cylinder 3 is liquified and flows into a gas chamber 2 so as to inflate a folded buoy 1 thus forming a life buoy (floating ring). In such a manner, a life buoy can be formed by simply throwing it into the water without requiring troublesome operation thus facilitating rescue of a drawing person.
