Title:
PORTABLE REPLACEMENT FUEL GAS TANK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3522493
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store and transport a large quantity of gas at low or ordinary temperature and that under low pressure by charging fuel gas in the state of being adsorbed to porous material stored in a container under the coexistence of a compound to be host.
SOLUTION: Porous material 2 is stored in a tank container 1, an in-out conduit 3 for fuel gas and a compound to be host is provided with a switching valve 4. An opening, opened to the inside of the container 1, of the conduit 3 is made to face an upper space 5 of the tank container 1. An intermediate space 6 is provided between upper and lower layers formed of the porous material 2, and a perforated plate, a mesh body, or the like is arranged at the upper face of the porous material 2 or the upper and lower faces of the porous material 2. As the porous material 2, porous material of desirably 100m2/g or more in specific surface area is used, and particularly activated carbon or ceramics is suitably used. As the compound to be the host, water, alcohol, organic acid such as formic acid or acetic acid, quinone such as benzoquinone, or the like is used, particularly water or alcohol is desirably used.
