PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content display type portable storage medium.
SOLUTION: A portable storage medium document card is a portable unit having a nonvolatile storage means for storing information in a digital form, a control processor for making access to a document stored inside by processing the function and a request started by a user, an input-output port for interfacing with an external device for reading and writing digital information, and a user interface 601 for allowing the user to directly interact with the document card. The user interface includes a plurality of traversal keys 606 to 609 for allowing the user to traverse a list of the function and the document, a selecting key 610 for allowing the user to select the highlight function or the document, a processing means for processing the function generated by the user, and a display 603 for displaying the list of the function and the document and information in response to the function generated by the user.
