To provide a means of substitution upon breakdown of the existing wiper device set in a windshield of a cab of a railroad vehicle.
This invention relates to a portable wiper device W with a battery 10 connected, by an electric cord 8, to a body section 1 with a wiper unit 2 and an adsorption device 6 arranged in a base member. A handle section is provided in the adsorption means 6. The blade of the wiper unit 2 in the longitudinal direction is inclined by 15-30 relative to the longitudinal direction of a wiper arm. Upon the breakdown of the existing wiper device X, the body section 1 is fixed at an appropriate position on the surface of the windshield F in consideration of the operational range of the blade or the position of the existing wiper device X. Chains 20, 22 attached to the body section 1 and the battery 10 respectively are locked at appropriate places on the external surface of the vehicle T for drop prevention. The wiper unit 2 is operated by operation of a switch, thereby assuring visibility at running time.
