Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress the virtual image produced by a position measuring instrument which measures the arriving direction of signals from a radio wave source with a plurality of angle measuring sensors and specifies the position of the wave source from a plurality of bearing lines drawn to the arriving direction of the signals from the angle measuring sensors when a plurality of radio wave sources exists and many bearing lines are drawn.
CONSTITUTION: A correlation discriminating means 103 correlates the arriving angle estimating values θ(1)1, θ(1)2, and θ(1)3 of an angle measuring sensor 41 with the arriving angle estimating values θ(2)1, θ(2)2, and θ(2)3 of another angle measuring sensor 4b at every radio wave source based on cross correlation coefficient matrices Φ(1) and Φ(2) outputted from correlation coefficient calculating means 102a and 102b. An angle data order changing means 104 changes the order of the arriving angle estimating values of the sensor 4b based on the correlated results and an intersection calculating means 105 specifies the radio sources from the properly correlated pairs θ(1)1 and θ(2)i1, θ(1)2 and θ(2)i2, and θ(1)3 and θ(2)i3.
