To provide a positioning tool for punching which allows viewing a workpiece through a convex lens in an enlarged manner, and prevents a punch from being mistakenly inserted by a protector through hole.

In the positioning tool for punching, an upper end holder 16 and a lower end holder 17 brought close in parallel to an upper end 10 and a horizontal wall surface of a lower part 11, respectively. An intersection or the like of mark-off lines 22 of a workpiece 15 can be viewed in an enlarged manner through a protector through hole 19 by a positioning tool having a convex lens holder equipped with: a protector through hole 19 with a peeping hole for preventing any insertion of a punch 14 in the upper end holder from a punch insertion hole 12; and a convex lens 20 in the through hole of the lower end holder 17 when the convex lens holder is provided at the service position A. The insertion of the punch 14 is thereby prevented by the protector through hole 19, and when the convex lens holder is at the waiting position B, the punch 14 is inserted in the punch insertion hole 12, and the punching position is determined on the workpiece 15 by the punch.
