PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new positive active material realizing a secondary battery with improved cycle characteristics and low temperature characteristics by optimizing a diffusion state of a conductive material in an active material layer and an adhesion state of the conductive material with an active material.
SOLUTION: This positive active material for the secondary battery specifies the carbon concentration on the surface of the active material to 15 atomic percent or less.
