Abstract:
To provide a lithium ion secondary battery having excellent characteristics.SOLUTION: A positive electrode includes a current collecting foil having an arithmetic mean height Sa of surface roughness of 0.1 μm≤Sa, and a positive electrode active material layer which is formed on the surface of the current collecting foil and contains a lithium-nickel-containing metal oxide having a layered rock salt structure represented by the following general formula (1). General formula (1) is LiaNibMcOf. M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Co, Mn, Al, W, Mo, Re, Pd, Ba, Cr, B, Sb, Sr, Pb, Ga, Nb, Mg, Ta, Ti, La, Zr, Cu, Ca, Ir, Hf, Rh, Fe, Ge, Zn, Ru, Sc, Sn, In, Y, Bi, S, Si, Na, K, P, and V, and a, b, c, and f satisfy 0.2≤a≤2, b+c=1, 0.6≤b≤0.95, 0.05≤c≤0.4, and 1.7≤f≤3.SELECTED DRAWING: None
