PURPOSE: To dispense with the operation of one key in calculating postal charges of air parcel posts by dividing said posts to plural blocks by posting areas and posting distances wherein those of the same charges determined by each prescribed weight are as one blocks and assigning the respective blocks thereof with keys.
CONSTITUTION: Air parcel posts are divided to plural blocks by posting areas and posting distances wherein those of the same charges determined by each prescribed weight are as one blocks. The respective blocks are assigned with keys to assign posting areas and posting distances. Therefore if the charge blocks to be called are changed with standard areas and special areas in the case of handling air parcel posts, provision of, for example, 4 kinds of the keys for assigning the charge blocks suffices. To calculate the postal charges of air parcel posts by weighing said posts, a post-office clerk places the parcel posts on the weighing pan 10 in the 2nd balance part 2, and operates any one among an air A key 11i, an air B key 11j, an air C key 11k, and an air D key 11, then the charges for the weights of the parcel posts are calculated and are displayed on a charge display device 32.
