PURPOSE: To utilize an automatic ticket examining machine on a fare postpaid basis with one postpaid card when the card is utilized together with a person who does not use a train usually by providing the postpaid card with an area wherein optional people number information is stored.

CONSTITUTION: The magnetic pattern on the reverse side of the postpaid card is provided with a start area 1006 which indicates the magnetic pattern start point position, a kind area 1007 indicating the kinds of usable transport facilities, a kind area 1008 indicating the kind of the card, a card number area 1009, a password number area 1010, a validity term area 1011, a use date and time area 1012, an origin area 1013 storing the origin of a utilization section at the time of the use of the card, a user number area 1014 which stores the number of people having used the card, and an other-information area 1015. Each time the card is used, the user number information and information on the origin of the utilization section are inputted to the user number area 1014 and origin area 1013 and each time the utilization ends, the inputted pieces of information are deleted.
