Abstract:

To provide a technique to smoothly perform controlling the posture of a traveling vehicle using a control moment gyro.

An apparatus for controlling the posture of a vehicle comprises two or more control moment gyro mechanisms which are disposed evenly to a body of the vehicle for traveling on the ground, a detection means for a traveling condition of the vehicle, and a controlling means which performs real-time control of the moment of inertia of the above control moment gyro mechanism based on the detected value, wherein change of the traveling posture of the vehicle is corrected by the moment of inertia.
