To provide a powder coating which can apply powder coating, without causing thermal deformation of a low-softening point resin.
This powder coating contains a colorant and an infrared light absorber in a binder resin comprising a thermoplastic resin, which melts by heat generated on absorption of infrared light by the infrared light absorber. As the binder resin, it is preferable to use a mixture of a first thermoplastic resin having a flow tester softening temperature of 50-70°C with a second thermoplastic resin having a flow tester softening temperature of 80-150°C. Also as the binder resin, it is preferable that the compositional ratio X of a component having a molecular weight of 10,000 or less is 20 wt.%≤X≤80 wt.% and the compositional ratio Y of a component having a molecular weight of 100,000 or more is 20 wt.%≤Y≤80 wt.%.
