To provide a powdery dust reduction agent which is hard to stick to a hopper in a quantitative feeding device.

The above problem can be solved by incorporating water-soluble cellulose ether and a powdery defoamant in a specified ratio. The powdery dust reduction agent comprises: a liquid defoamant; a powdery defoamant obtained by carrying an organic liquid other than the liquid defoamant into inorganic powder in a specified ratio; and water-soluble cellulose ether, and in which, to the total 100 pts.mass of the powdery defoamant and water-soluble cellulose ether, the ratio of the powdery defoamant is 5 to 30 pts.mass, and the ratio of the water-soluble cellulose ether is 95 to 70 pts.mass.
