Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power conversion equipment of a simple constitution which dispenses with SVC(static bar compensator) and which can make the capacitance of a phase-advancing capacitor prescribed and reduced or can make it unnecessary.
SOLUTION: This equipment is constituted of a power converter group 2 which converts an alternating current from a power system 3 into a direct current and of a DC circuit 1, including a coil group making the converted direct current flow through. In this case, the power converter group 2 comprises separate excitation type converters 201 and 202 and a self-excitation type converter 210, and a lagging reactive current in the separate excitation type converters 201 and 202 is determined by arithmetic circuits 221 and 222 respectively and summed up by a total sum computing unit 223. In an adder-subtracter 224, a value corresponding to the leading reactive current of a phase-advancing capacitor 4 is subtracted from the sum, and a value thus obtained is made a control command value for a reactive current of the self-excitation type converter 210, which is used together with an active current command value, for controlling the self-excitation type converter 210.
