Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine more accurately the temperature of a semiconductor switching element that constitutes a power conversion circuit, without providing a temperature sensor.SOLUTION: At a timing when an output current of a voltage type bridge inverter 6 becomes a predetermined value and all of a plurality of semiconductor switching elements 61 constituting the inverter 6 are controlled to an off state, a forward voltage of a freewheeling diode 62 that is connected in antiparallel to a predetermined semiconductor switching element 61 is detected so that the temperature of the diode 62 can be determined on the basis of a correlation relationship between forward voltages and temperatures when a forward current value of the freewheeling diode 62 is a predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
