To reduce working man-hours related to windings, to miniaturize a permanent magnet generator, and to decrease a cost of the permanent magnet generator or an expense of a power generation device, in the power generation device for distributed power supply which takes out an output approximate to an maximum output from the permanent magnet generator which is driven by a wind turbine or a hydraulic turbine.
The permanent magnet generator 3 is driven by the wind turbine 1 or the hydraulic turbine. Tooth windings wound around a plurality of stator teeth of the permanent magnet generator 3 are made to be stator windings by connecting them in series in units of tooth windings. AC output terminals U2, V2 and W2 of the stator windings of the permanent magnet generator 3 are connected to a second rectifier 7 via a second reactor 5 to obtain a DC output and also tap output terminals U1, V1 and W1 connected to connecting portions between the tooth windings of the stator windings are connected to a first rectifier 6 via a first reactor 4 to obtain a DC output. The DC output of the second rectifier and the DC output of the first rectifier are added to each other, and output to an external DC power supply 13.
