Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation device utilizing water flow energy in which, even when a flowing direction of a tide/water flow changes, a rotor driving a generator is surely rotated while automatically corresponding to that change, thereby stably generating power, and further, which has a simple structure mechanism and durability and is efficient by reducing an energy loss.SOLUTION: A rotor 2 in a longitudinal cylinder shape is mounted to an installation base 1 fixed to the seabed surface in a freely rotatable manner, and mount frames 3 are attached radially from the outer periphery of the rotor. At an upper side position of the mount frame, a pressure receiving plate 4 which is plate-shaped, is a little smaller and more lightweight than the specific gravity of seawater and generates buoyancy, is hinged in a freely rotatable manner. Further, a stopper 5b and a stopper 5a for braking the rotation of the pressure receiving plate 4 are provided within an angle range from 5° which is a little lower than horizontal, to 90° that is approximately perpendicular, and a generator 7 is rotated by accelerating the rotation of the rotor 2.
