Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the number of motors employed and to decrease weight, by a method wherein, by the use of a single power motor and a single motor for shifting, movement of 8 positions, being the basic mode shift of a power seat, can be realized. CONSTITUTION:A first motor for power is mounted on a base frame 1, and gear 32, secured on an output shaft, is geared with gears 33 and 35. A gear 81 is secured on the output shaft of a small motor 80 for shifting, a gear 82, having a notched part formed in a position allowing the gear 82 to be geared with the gear 81, is mounted to a base frame 1, and the notched part of the gear 82 is positioned opposite to the gear 81. With motors 31 and 80 driven by a given control pattern, rotation of a nut unit through the gears 33 and 35 and the gear 82 enables setting of 8 positions, being forward and reverse of a seat, forward and backward movement of a back rest, and up and down movement of the front and the rear of the seat.
