To provide a power source unit for a direct acting self-holding solenoid valve which can be operated by small amounts of commercial power, simply opened and closed by the on/off-operation of a power supply.
The self-holding solenoid valve 1 includes a hollow cylindrical body 12 around which an electromagnetic coil 11 is mounted, a plunger 14 which is movably inserted axially in the hollow cylindrical body 12, and having a switching value 13 at an edge displaced by a magnetic field of the electromagnetic coil 11, an urging means 15, and a permanent magnet 16 for holding the plunger 14 at a specified position. A power source unit for the self-holding solenoid valve includes a DC power supply device which rectifies the commercial AC power into an alternate current, and transforms it into a specified voltage, a voltage detection circuit connected parallel to the DC power supply circuit, a pulse oscillation circuit connected to the voltage detection circuit and the DC power supply circuit, a polarity switching circuit connected between the pulse oscillation circuit and the electromagnetic coil 11 of the solenoid valve 1, and a capacitor charging circuit connected parallel to the DC power supply circuit.
