Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a power steering device which increases the generated pressure gain of a power cylinder even in a state that the pressure of a pump is low and produces a steering feeling having excellent responsiveness.
CONSTITUTION: A power steering device is formed such that a lever rocked in linkage with operation of a handle is linked to the spool 5 of a steering control valve 4 which controls a power cylinder PC and the two ends of the spool 5 are caused to face respective reaction chambers 7 and 8 and further, springs 11 and 12 the forces of which are exerted, in a manner described above, in the movement direction of the spool 5 are arranged in the reaction force chambers 7 and 8. Means to regulate the initial set load of the springs 11 and 12 within a range Δx being wide enough to exercise an influence on the steering feeling of the output characteristics of the power cylinder PC are arranged to the end parts of the reaction force chambers 7 and 8.
